Funding & Withdrawal Policies
Last Updated: June 24, 2026
DriveWealth, LLC (“DriveWealth”) generally does not accept third-party deposits (i.e., deposits of funds from an account that is not held in the same name as a customer’s DriveWealth account). DriveWealth may make an exception to this policy.
All funding methods are subject to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) review.
Holding Period of Funds
DriveWealth may hold funds received into your account via Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) transfer for up to five business days (“Holding Period”). During the Holding Period, you may not be able to trade or withdraw your funds. Your introducing firm may impose a longer Holding Period; please consult your introducing firm for specific details.
Other limitations
Your account may be restricted in the event that deposited funds are recalled by the sending financial institution. This includes placing a freeze on the account when an ACH transfer is charged back with the following return codes:
Return Reason Code R10- “Customer Advises Originator is Not Known to Receiver and/or Originator is Not Authorized by Receiver to Debit Receiver’s Account”-This code signifies that a customer advises the Originator is either unknown to the Receiver or is not authorized to debit the Receiver's account. This code is used in cases including, but not limited to where:
The Receiver does not know the Originator's identity or has no existing relationship with them.
The Receiver has not authorized the Originator to debit the account.
Return Reason CodeR16: R16- “Account Frozen/Entry Returned Per OFAC Instruction”- This code signifies the account holder’s bank has frozen the account, or the transaction was blocked by a regulatory agency like the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
If either of the two return reason codes is returned, the firm will automatically put the account in liquidate only status.
Deposits & Availability of Funds
If you deposit funds by bank wire or ACH transfer, you can withdraw funds by either of those methods. Funds, including cash balances or excess margin, can be withdrawn after they have settled and any applicable Holding Periods have passed.
Deposit and Withdrawal Fees
Deposit and withdrawal methods may be subject to fees. Before depositing or withdrawing funds, you should understand any applicable fees. Please consult your introducing firm for specific details regarding fees.
If applicable, DriveWealth deducts the withdrawal fee from the amount you requested. DriveWealth may not process a withdrawal request if the amount requested to be withdrawn is less than the cost of the withdrawal.
For more information, please review the DriveWealth Customer Account Agreement, available here: Customer Account Agreement.
